Transdisciplinary Themes

The Primary Years Programme at The Vale School Muthaiga incorporates six transdisciplinary themes that guide the curriculum: Who We Are; Where We Are in Place and Time; How We Express Ourselves; How We Organise Ourselves; How the World Works; and Sharing the Planet. These themes integrate local and global issues, helping students understand their relevance and connection to the world. By weaving these themes into each unit of inquiry, subject areas are seamlessly blended, promoting a holistic educational approach that fosters a deep understanding of how students can influence and be influenced by the world.
