IB World School
The Vale School Muthaiga is an IB World School that offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), designed to foster a stimulating and reflective learning environment. Proudly, we are the second school in Kenya to offer the Primary Years Programme. This programme nurtures children's natural curiosity and creativity, encouraging a lifelong love of learning. Central to the PYP are six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored through integrated subject knowledge and skills, along with co-curricular and extracurricular activities. This holistic approach equips students to thrive in a complex and interconnected world, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
Mission
Our mission is to create authentic meaningful and transformational educational experiences for all learners in our community that will equip them for life. We achieve this by providing a robust and differentiated academic programme and working closely with all the stakeholders in our community (namely, the learners, the parents and the staff members) in conjunction with various partner organisations to promote inter-cultural understanding, well-being and international mindedness.
It is our aim to develop lifelong learners who think both critically and creatively, who have inquiring minds and who through consistent mindfulness practices become self-aware individuals. We nurture effective communicators who acquire in-depth knowledge through exploring concepts within and around the environment that have both local and global significance.
Above all, our education programme encourages our diverse learning community to persevere, to be open minded and to possess a growth mindset. We strive to approach unfamiliar situations with courage, to be reflective, be balanced, showing love through respect, kindness, empathy and compassion for the needs and feelings of ourselves and all living things.
